I have the same problem, clock in panel freezes without any obvious
reason. There is nothing I can relate this behavior to. In panel clock
does freeze, but when I open clock applet it shows correct time.
Interesting in my case is that same time when clock freeze my network
manager icon becomes invi
I have the same problem with nm-applet becomes invisible without
particular reason. I can't even relate it to any other action. There is
empty space where nm applet stands in gnome-panel and I can get nm menus
on left and right click on that empty space so it doesn't disappear but
it simply becomes
I will try that soon as problem reappear as it comes and goes. Will let
you know.

I'm not programmer so I don't really know what to do with gdb. I found
instructions how to install it, but even I install it by those manuals I
found I woudn't know how to attach gdb to evolution-data-server and monitor
what will happen.

Can't work it out, simply don't have enough technical knowledge for this nor
time to learn everything in order to understand. I even tried to install and
find problem with bug buddy, as it should be for people like me, but didn't
have luck with it either.

I've been trying but the problem is that after running command sudo apt-get
update I get this message:

version (uname -r) - 2.6.38 - 7 - generic, and following instructions on
site you gave me I have downloaded and installed related mainline kernel
version - v2.6.38-natty. I have only downloaded and installed one file -

In my case it is ATI graphics, but also problem was I didn't get GRUB at
startup, so I couldn't choose different kernel in order to bypass graphics

My guess is that eventually STA driver (the one from Additional drivers)
will start working after some update. Most probably Broadcom still
didn't provide valid proprietary driver for Ubuntu 11.04 or they did but
it still have to pass Ubuntu control before it becomes available.

Solution from post #10 worked like a charm for me as well. Just the
thing is that from previous experience in my case STA driver was giving
better WiFi range and speed. Hope they will fix it any time soon.

Yesterday regular update contained broadcom wifi driver as well (if I
saw correctly), but it didn't make any difference. My wifi still doesn't
work even though STA driver is activated.
In my experience, on earlier versions of Ubuntu, fwcutter driver gave me

I thought Emphaty doesn't start when "Automatically connect on startup"
is checked because of bug, just as many others. I agree in full with
cldx, Robomaster and alike comments considering pattern Emphaty should
behave. It's the only way that makes sense.
