$sudo apt-get install powertop
sudo powertop
Then see what is polling your kernel. I believe it's an interrupt
problem. Are you using b43 module? If not, blacklist it at sudo gedit
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist

In Gutsy, the problem was solved by using specific IP addresses. In
Hardy same behaviour. I think it was a fundemental change in SAMBA, but

Miro starts and runs. Can download videos. The play starts and the
sound works. BUT there is no visual (video) component. Miro worked
perfectly when FLASH 9 plugin was installed. After installing the new
FLASH 10 plugin, there is not video.

Rationale:
1) Completely uninstalled FLASH 10 via Snaptic (the way it was installed)
2) Reboot
3) Install FLASH 9
4) Tried MIRO; same behaviour - no video

6) Upgraded to FLASH 10; FLASH works everywhere.
