Clicking on show details in Update manager (ubuntu 11.10 beta2) doesn't
expand the terminal window correctly. So, you can't see the details. One
has to manually expand the window to see the updates running on
terminal..

Yes, this is still happening. Try maximizing the preferences window and
unmaximize (restore) and maximize back again. I wish I could take a
screenshot, but I'm using Virtualbox and when I try to take a
screenshot, it only captures the desktop background image.

I think this is true today with Gwibber 3.0.0.1 on Ubuntu 11.04. Gwibber
takes approx. 2 - 3 minutes to load and when I try to open Gwibber from
the messaging indicator, it takes so long that I'm not sure if it
crashed or if its still working (no mouse busy shown either).

Are you sure? The launcher un-hides if I have a dropdown menu open.
However, it doesn't work when a context menu is open. That is not
consistent.
