Hi Vish, I was finally able to install. I'm sorry but I didn't know how to gather the debugging information. But I realized wht the problem was. I was at a public location with internet access . Ubuntu installer started downloading stuff from the repositories (language packs and some other updates), but the internet access dropped in between. I believe this is what caused the installer to crash
