I have the problem that it does not start downloading. it simple freezes
building up the progress window. but this only happens to some kind of
media e.g. backgrounds or login manager. installing a splashscreen
worked without any problems.

This happes with a SLOX (Suse Linux Open Exchange) server. I don't see
any configuration options wrt. quota warnings there. As mentioned, I
first reported this upstream and was told that it is a RedHat extension.

I have a weird issue:
I can usually access the internet just fine, including public Wifis with
captive portals (I just now dialed into one).
However, there is one public Wifi which I am unable to use, because I cannot

The login screen on the internal lvds display is white and emtpy.
When switching to vt, plugging in external device and restarting gdm,
the normal login screen appears.

There is random screen flickering with the build of kernel 6.5.0-27.
Also other builds of 6.5.0 have this flickering.
The *only* build of this version that does work without flickering is
6.5.0-13

I de-installed the nvidia driver completly and can confirm: This solves
the flickering issue.
