In xubuntu ltsp server instalation, terminal kernels and ltsp chroot are
amd64. It is not a good idea I think. It is very unlikely to use ltsp on
amd64 terminal.

xubuntu i386 ltsp server instalation.
After configuring dhcp.conf, nfs shares and I'vr restarted both dhcpd and nfs.
Then tryed to boot terminal using cd and rom-o-matic image. Terminal gets ip,
kernel and starts it. Befor loading welcome scree there is some error reported

Isn't more logical to set i386 chroot. If terminal is amd64 it will
bott. But if terminal is 32bit and chroot is 64 it will not.

There is no difernce between upgraded and original ltsp behavior.
The only thing i've not upgradet is terminal kernel.

All I've written obove is based on clear instalation.
After that I've upgraded all ltsp pakeges exept kernel. Changed dhcpd.conf, to
point new directory. Nothing changes. Upgradet kernel and ther come some
problem with NFS. Restored dhcpd.conf from clear instaletion. The problem is
back.

Could it be because so caled server is PII/496MHz/320mb ram?
Is it compiled with some kind of optimisation for newer procesors?

ok forget an delete it. Tomorow I'll try edubuntu and if there is no

eduubuntu works almoust out of the box. It needs small modification of
/etc/exports.
/opt/ltsp * (ro..
should be
/opt/ltsp/i386 * (ro
reinstaling xubuntu ltsp
And the bug is there.
And it needs coping or linking /etc/ltsp/dhcpd.conf to /etc/dhcp3/dhcpd.conf.
And enableing xdmcp and remoteg
1 .If i don't change /opt/ltsp to /opt/ltsp/i386 terminal says "can't mount
root fs".
2. I'm not 100% sure but ~95% that dhcp.conf is readed from /etc/dhcp3.
3. ldm is _not_ instaled on the server.

Do you have access to _x_ubuntu ltsp server?
If not do you want one?

ldm migth be ok. Atleast there is some files in ltsp chroot.
In the clear install there is _no_ lts.conf. Ading one with SCREEN_xx =
(something) leads to this kind of bug if (something) is startx or nonworking
shell. Removing this directive from lts.conf gives ubuntu login screen witch
has work
