After upgrading to Xubuntu 21.10 (from 21.04) the cgdb freezes the terminal on
several occasions and the only way out is to kill cgdb from another terminal.
example:
- open cgdb
- press Escape
- press o to open a file
or
- open cgdb and tile the terminal window to the left
Apparently this bug is fixed on the latest cgdb on github.

python-tk or tcl/tk) connected through ssh -CXY in the recent 24.04 resulted in
extremely slow performance, which makes it almost impossible to work.

- Fedora 40 suffers from the same issue
- Mac Xquartz suffers with the same problem
- it can be reproduced with any hardware and even on Virtual Box machine

I have tried that and it doesn't help.. :( I don't think that it has
something to do with the chipset because my SATA hard disk is working
ok. The DVD drive is PATA Panasonic (matshita) UJ870. Maybe this drive
is not supported by libata. But it was working fine with ide modules. I

- Open System Monitor
- Select the wanted single cpu color and change it to a new custom one
- Close System Monitor

disable safe booting. The reason why I did this was that nvidia drivers
malfunctioned otherwise. I do not know if this is the real cause, but I

Every time I use Firefox, the computer becomes unresponsive after some
time, even without invoking HUD. I see 100% CPU usage, most of it
consumed by firefox and hud-service. This happens the same way to my

The panel of the error, told me to include all the files from var/log
/dist-upgrade and here they are... There are also some folders (etc.
20110502-2016), that would take all day to post.. Dunno if these files
are of any use.

I had the same issue with ubuntu karmic.Solved with the "rm
~/.local/share/gvfs-metadata/*".
Before this, even a refresh moved all the icons on the left side,except the
mounted drives icons.

Same here...
Frequently, the GUI hangs on start playing but the song-playing does not stop.
After forced reboot works fine.
I got a huge library (200gb) and ubuntu karmic with banshee version 1.6
i thinks it has to do with the database-program interaction.

I downloaded the daily build ( trusty-desktop-i386.iso - 25-Mar-2014 )
and i think this problem persists. I had to add "live-media ..." to make
it work.
