Gene: this "patch" thing means that it'll be fixed in Ubuntu, and generally
the fix, seeing as it's not that important, will be available in the next
version of Ubuntu (8.10). Or if you'd like it now, someone needs to either
make a .deb, or "backport" the fixed package from 8.10.

The reason why I'm against them is because I had stability issues - screen
would sometimes flicker and whole computer just pause. However I installed
the driver via nvidia's own installer - so I'm waiting for a package to be
available in ubuntu for testing first.

My use case for fullscreen - I play Savage 2 in fullscreen on one

I wouldn't like going to a preference option each time I want to toggle. I
use the buttons primarily, but there are often cases when the line is
helpful too - and the button being right there is awfully helpful.

While totem displays the song time correctly and is able to seek (at
least from what I see, clicking on random spots plays just fine from
there).

leaving the protocols in a weird state until they realize you were
reconnected when you suspend/resume.
Atm a workaround is to manually go fusa -> offline, fusa ->
