I see the same problem on Gutsy with gmplayer when using xv or gl as output
device. With x11 as output device the problem goes away (or when xserver-xgl is
deactivated). Using just mplayer from the command line doesn't have this
problem, regardless of output device.

.desktop) from a directory containing umlauts to the unity launcher. The
entry is not displayed - but is still there, as seen in the myunity

Yes, the icons move aside, but slide back when releasing the mouse
button.
But after updating packages another time and logging out and in now the
entry appears suddenly. Removing and re-adding now works as expected. It
seems the bug was fixed since my last update...
I think the bug can be closed
