Thanks Christian.
Yes, just commenting out the glx and dri was enough. And oh, btw. it is not
necessary to remove the splash or quite in the booting... They do not cause a
problem and with break=bottom it just stops nicely at the prompt after it is
all done.

As I sometimes use my wired interface, this is not a good workaround for me.

While this works and I am able suspend/resume, NetworkManager sees my wifi

It behaves exactly the same way as it did on Feisty, which was fixed.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: libstdc++6-4.4-dev
/usr/include/c++/4.4/cstdint contains:
#ifndef __GXX_EXPERIMENTAL_CXX0X__

So when including cstdint and running g++ with default settings you get the
following error:
In file included from /usr/include/c++/4.4/cstdin
It works now in snap Firefox 102.0b2 (64-bit) on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.

Also because Wayland allows the television to be at 60Hz, whenever I
login (after boot) and have it in mirror mode, the sound is therefore
too fast by default.
I cannot change it, since the HDMI port is the first port on the GPU and
the DisplayPort port is the second. This means it by default assu

Wayland with both monitors at 60Hz.
In Xorg I can still only select 30Hz as the maximum on the television.

I just tested it on a laptop with intel graphics, and sound and playback is
perfectly normal on 60Hz when playing through the HDMI (playing on the
television). Same cable, same television - only connected to my laptop instead.
This makes me wonder whether this could be an issue in the kernel driv
