Ever since I upgraded to 9.10 I get this or a similiar message about
nouveau-kernel-source everytime I install updates or new programs. I am
not on AMD64 though.

Ignore my last comment, the problem came back.
This time I uninstalled the addon and then re-installed it, but that
didn't help either. I had to uninstall it, then remove the preference
file and install it back again. Now it seems to work fine (for now).

The fixed version by moma worked for my acer aspire 5610 with Mint 8
installed. It made made multimedia keys work! Instead of
$ sudo /sbin/modprobe acerhk force_series=6805 autowlan=1
you'll have to use
$ sudo /sbin/modprobe acerhk force_series=2020 poll=0
and enter this to the file instead:

After playing around with some of the easier themes (Simple-Generic) and
modifying it a little in regard to the x- and ythickness values I can
indeed confirm that these cause the border around the desktop.

in the "/usr/share/themes/Simple-Generic/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"
I have just done the following to the ambience theme:
$ sudo gedit /usr/share/themes/Ambience/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
edit line 11 & 12 to
xthickness = 0
ythickness = 0
safe and close.
reload the theme by clicking on some other and than on ambience again.
See if this 'fixes' it for you, too.

I also noticed this bug recently. I find it very annoying to get system
emails now whenever unattended-upgrades is scheduling a reboot. It
should either be fixed in systemd (why are they writing an info message
to stderr?) - or if it can't be fixed there, at least unattended-
upgrades should redire

@Paolo: Do you know when this fix was applied and rolled out on Ubuntu
Trusty?
I'm asking because I can't find it mentioned in the changelogs and I
want to find out, if some of the stuff I compiled might be affected. If
I knew when the fix was rolled out, I could narrow that down. Thank you.

So I install the 3.14 Kernel.
I removed the nomsi parameters in the default grub file.
Restarted
Suspended
Resumed
---> worked
I test suspend some more time now.

NFS (v4) share on freeBSD 8.03 up-to-date (Jan 2013)
Ubuntu 12.10 64bit up-to-date (Jan 2013)
I can copy (read) big files with consistant rates at about 70MB/s from the NFS
