Well you should be informed a restart is required after the upgrade of a
kernel module (I think), but perhaps that could be suggested in the API
mismatch error message.

I updated the libraw1394 package to 2.0.1, see LP: #311804 (I blame
Launchpad for the triplicate post in that bug). Using the libffado2
packages from the ubuntustudio-dev PPA I can start the ffado-dbus-server
and connect the ffado-mixer to my device successfully. I can rebuild the
0.116.1 Jack pack

I also have noticed this issue very recently. Attached is the output of
totem with gst-debug-level 3. The most relevant part seems to be:

can reproduce that issue as well. It may be specific to nouveau users. I
do not have these issues on another up to date Maverick machine which
uses the prop
As I just noted in the above linked bug report (#561734), once I install
libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental I can run the example script without crash.
I'm using nouveau on an up to date Maverick.

This is probably due to the UbuntuMenuProxy patch to GTK+. It sure would
be nice to get a build of GTK+ without it. Bug #809500 is semi-related
where the same code restores the gnome-terminal menu even when
preferences dictate it should be hidden.

To clarify my comment in bug #849245, I had checked the delay was
removed by using a GTK+ without the UbuntuMenuProxy patch in oneiric. I
don't know if the situation has changed in precise and I have no easy
means to check as I've a PPA based oneiric gnome-shell machine and have
moved my other mach
FWIW, this also happens using the GNOME3 PPA with an nVidia GeForce GTS
240 using the nouveau drivers. Clicking on a category displays the same
icon correctly. Just the list of all applications has the weird
colorless distorted icons.
I left the status as expired as I'm using a PPA on natty.

Having the libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental package installed no longer
makes things work for me after its move from main to universe.
Quadrapassel and my own python-clutter using app are back to throwing
errors trying to set the current GLX drawable.

Of course the work around (if using GNOME) is to quit the running Tomboy
and add the Tomboy applet to the panel. You will also want to remove any
session autostart you may have setup for Tomboy.
