I can also confirm this; although I found out about the about:config
hack, it still seems like the default breaks expected behavior. I think
the reason they changed it is that sometimes when entering form data,
backspace could go back a page instead of deleting a character as
expected - but are the
OK, after messing around with it for an hour, I managed to figure out a
way to fix this. This is just a hack until some things with nautilus and
hal are fixed up, but you can try this:
Open up /etc/hal/fdi/policy/preferences.fdi and paste this in at the end
(but before ):
true
/media/

I can confirm this (I am also using latest Edgy, with en_CA locale). I
fixed it simply by changing use_markup to True for the three labels in
/usr/share/gnome-power-manager/gpm-prefs.glade... although I'm not sure
why this would only happen in the en_CA locale.
