There is an error in default keyboard layout of the Language
India>Malayalam, the key "q" in Malayalam layout(qwerty keyboard)
prints "ൌ"(U+0D4C) symbol, also the same is printed with "Q" in
Malayalam Lathika Layout, But it should be printing "ൗ"(U+0D57)

actually I have not installed scim, I just selected the layout from
gnome-keyboard-properties.

The issue is that we have "Utility" (which hardware-monitor is currently
classified under) and a whole load of other applets under "Utilities",
which seems rather odd. Surely there should be only one category for
utility applets?
(That it really falls better under "System and Hardware" is an

category in the "Add to panel" window. This should really be under
"System and hardware" or "Utilities".

I installed Y-PPA-Manager and purged the PPAs with the app. Thereafter
the upgrade to Ubuntu 18.04.1 was successful.

As I upgrade from Ubuntu 14.04 to 16.04, it does not go past
"Calculating the upgrade." An Error message pops up saying "Could not
