I've booted into live-usb to copy /home partition to another drive, but found

I had a terrible delay in every game from Maelstrom to Urban terror.
Sound was playing 0.1-0.2 seconds later than it should. That's already
too large delay, very annoying. Maybe your whole second delay is some
complex problem, or your cpu is slower.

...maybe X was not fully restarted after that... I tried ctrl+alt+backspace,

interval between screen flicks gone, but still it does not work.

OK. It appears that bug is fixed with 2.6.27-11
...if lbm packages are still not in repos, they can be downloaded by link above
and installed manually

I solved my problem by deleting contacts from both evolution and pidgin.
Another problem is: when jabber contact is present in evolution and you have
two jabber accounts, this contact every time appears in both accounts.
I assume, the problem is in evolution plugin for pidgin, as it cannot unass
Maybe I found workaround to disable automatic connection for default system
connections.
run nm-connection-editor from root:
sudo nm-connection-editor
you will gain root access to system connections, so you can disable autoconnect
for them.

root nm-connection-editor. System checkbox status for custom connection
cannot be saved.

I've got this when playing video on Eeepc 900. Every 30-60 secs there is a
short (~0.2 sec) glitch of silence and video freeze, and this message in vlc

I also have problem after upgrade to kernel version 2.6.27-14 in Intrepid, but
with rt73usb (tested with Asus WL-167g and D-Link DWA-110 adapters)

after uninstalling pulseaudio, gnome-volume-control refuses to launch:

the only way to access sound card properties is cli alsamixer.

gnome-volume-control in Jaunty has many use case regressions with move to Pulse
maybe sound applet should have "mixer" option and use gnome-alsamixer for it
when needed. And use only gnome-alsamixer when pulseaudio is not present in
system.
That will be a good solution
