I reported in bug 356374 that the same behavior is observed when
tooltips close. That bug is actually talking about certain clicks on
applications causing the widget layer to close. It might be different
but the symptoms are strikingly similar.

I have just experienced the same issue after an upgrade.
I resolved it by doing
sudo apt-get remove linux-image-2.6.27-7-generic linux-restricted-
modules-2.6.27-7-generic linux-image-generic linux-restricted-modules-
generic linux-generic
followed by
sudo apt-get install linux-image-generic li
Interestingly I don't find this a problem any more. Appologies for
forgetting to come back and say this!
This was a problem for me on Gutsy but now I'm on Hardy it's not
anymore. However...
I have switched to a Nvidia graphics card from an onboard intel one and
I now have two monitors in twinview
Btw, it cost me 27p to provide this test PDF so I expect this to be high
priority ;-)

The PDF file should render differently on screen to when it is printed.
The on screen rendering should contain a 'watermark' (for want of a

I think this fix may have just broken puppet running on a non EC2
instance. On real hardware we now get the following output from puppet:

I tested the lucid proposed package. The regression is fixed (in my non

believe the duplicate status is wrong. This bug is actually a duplicate

System freeze when i'am not moving the mouse or
adding "intel_idle.max_cstate=0" seems to have solved the problem for
me. Powertop indicates significantly less power usage than the previous
kernel options yielded.

Actually I also spoke too soon. There are still freezes. The machine
seems to boot fine but often won't shutdown without keypresses to help
it along. Also the sound regularly gets stuck in a loop unless you keep
up constant activity like moving the mouse.

is totally frozen unless you constantly provide keypresses, mouse
