*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 63418 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/63418
I've just seen this bug for the first time after upgrading to 2.6.20-16. The last thing recorded in /var/log/messages is information about the fglrx driver being loaded. For the moment I think I'm going to have to revert to the 2.6.20-15 kernel because the computer is unusable. X starts but the splash loading bar doesn't display and all disk activity stops. You can still move the mouse pointer but that's all. You can't kill X or switch to a VT. -- soft lockup detected on CPU#0! when booting from feisty-desktop-i386 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/80502 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
