from within Ubuntustudio 8.10. I tried to play an ogg/theora movie I exported
from Kino before.

And now the reason for the problem: there was no audio device. I ran
Ubuntustudio in VirtualBox and had not activated any audio output device
(or rather only the null audio driver). After switching to ALSA
everything works fine.
Anyway this should probably better lead not to a stalled program.

If it is any help: I think on Gentoo it is possible to compile eclipse
with openjdk (at least 3.4, did not test with 3.5, yet).

I thought, this thing would already have been suggested here, but I did
not find anything about it.
When installing Ubuntu to a hard drive, it is default to write GRUB into
MBR. No matter if the user explicitely chooses the MBR or it is
automatically chosen - I think there sh

Actually, I wanted to write a bug report about the edubuntu website
being massively out of date ("Edubuntu 9.04 is an Add-on on top of
regular Ubuntu desktop"). However, I have wasted one and a half hour
trying to write that bug report, without success.
Steps to reproduce:

Thank you for the hint. Indeed, this is what I tried to do for several
hours. It still did not work and I gave up after some hours. I suppose
the reason why it did not work at all, was because I entered something
into the text field below the question "In what package did you find
this bug?" and se
I am sorry, if I gave you the impression, that I wanted to attack you
personally. This was clearly not my intention. I have great respect for your
work.
I am frustrated regarding the whole state of Ubuntu. I also care much about
Ubuntu and I try helping to improve it. However, this is a task tha
So, you do not care about this at all. Bug reporting is hard, the
edubuntu website is out of date and even just the technical process of
writing this report revealed two bugs in this tracker.
Well, I will not waste my time for Ubuntu any more.

Ubuntu bug reporting is too hard

The shuffle option renders games unsolvable when used in conjunction
with undo/redo operations (KDE 4.14.0).
It is pretty easy to reproduce:
* start a new game
* remove a matching pair
* undo removing
* shuffle
* redo removing
Unless the now newly removed tiles incidentally are the same as before
With Kubuntu 12.04, this still fails, now not with the red error message
saying "out of range", but with massive screen corruption. This can not
be undone by switching back to the previous mode.
Mode setting works fine with xrandr. It only fails with KDE's
systemsettings or krandrtray.
