stdout and stderr remain silent, core is not dumped.
$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
I can reproduce this problem on two machines with Edgy. I use regular
POP3 accounts, so I doubt this bug has something to do with account
type.

figure how it is determined that one position can or cannot be edited.

Gosh. I realised I use a slightly modified version of pdflatex that
prevents one-letter words from being placed at the end of the line, it
had to do also this ugly staff. I turned back the original one and it's
now correct.

I use Hardy, so this distribution is also affected.
Smplayer plays fine for some (short) time, then it starts to stutter. I
have to pause, wait a few seconds and unpause. But it repeats after a
few seconds.
I'd like to mark that it IS NOT an issue when playing videos directly
via mplayer or gnome
And I don't need to enter any "demanding" site - I tried to switch off
all applications and used only Smplayer, but the behaviour didn't
change.

I switched to vesa driver for a while, but it seems it supports only
1280x768, not 1280x800... :/

Looks like there's something wrong in config file. Check file
~/.config/sonata/sonatarc and find a line "current_tab_pos" within. It
probably contains some odd value. Change it to 0 and it should work.
