Bug still occurs at least with Samsung NC10. There is also a patch to
include in the kernel to have this bug fixed, see bug 409889 (and
particularly comment #5 about the fix)

Same behavior with fr_FR : if the new password is to close to the old
one (according to passwd), the password change window will let you close
the window after clicking on the "change password" (or "apply" ?)
button, but the password has not been changed, and there has been no
feedback about that.

Using Ubuntu Karmic up-to-date as of today.
Since 2.6.31-7 kernel update, my Samsung NC10 won't turn off at the end
of the power off procedure. The screen usually stays with a blinking
cursor top left of the screen, but I think it stopped once on "asking
