Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pidgin
Using Ubuntu 9.10, fresh install, up-to-date as of 13 September 2009. When I'm listening to music with a WINE application (Spotify), pidgin is not able to play any sound, and will use 100% CPU until the WINE app stops playing music: at that point, pidgin plays all the sounds it has not been able to play all together at the same time, and the CPU usage returns to something normal. In pidgin, sound is set to "Automatic", setting "ALSA" makes no difference. WINE sound is set to ALSA in winecfg. Please let me know if you need additionnal informations.
