I now have tried standard ftp and I am experiencing the same problems, so it is

I had the same problems upgrading Kubuntu 7.04 to 7.10.
Running "sudo dpkg --configure -a", running adept a few times and rebooting
seems to have done the trick.

This issue appears to be fixed in the Gusty CD's. I can now install

I can confirm that Keiths PPA package works like a charm for reading
email. But as soon as I try to access my calendar, it all goes haywire.
My network traffic and disk i/o skyrocket and Evolution just hangs.
This includes meeting requests which Evolution say: email claims to
contain a calenda
Note: It turned out that it was the evolution-data-server-2.28 process
which was causing the network traffic, disk io and cpu to go haywire...
I decided to let it run its course and after about ten minutes it calmed
down again... now my calendar seems to be working without significant
problems.

The bug report is about exporting to PNG (see title), so saying "Won't
fix" because export to SVG is deprecated seems odd.
The only reason SVG got mentioned in this bug report is because it

My MIS-X370 has a sentelic touchpad, is running 12.04 with 3.2.0-24.39, so the
touchpad should work, but side scrolling is not working. Side scrolling does
work a little: when moving my finger, both the cursor move and the screen is
scrolling, but both very jerky.

I had the same problem on my HP Microserver 40L (and I'm sure it's not a

It's probably caused by a lot of factors :)
I had a system crash with Ubuntu 8.10 and reinstalled Ubuntu 8.10. I did
however managed to make a copy of the .evolution directory which I tried to
restore. Somehow evolution kept on complaining that the database was corrupt so
I removed all indexes
