Since using a ThinkPad X60 laptop (with Hardy and Gutsy), I fail to get
the USB presenter to work again. It has been working flawlessly on a X31
machine under Gutsy, showing in "lsusb" as
Bus 002 Device 008: ID 046d:c101 Logitech, Inc.
Now, it will not show up at all. BUT th

I tested steps 1-8 in two ways for step 6:
1) I moved different files from the one opened into /foo/bar;
2) I moved the previously opened file from /foo into /foo/bar and opened it
again in Gimp.
Finally, I edited both instances of the same file and saved them.

I just ran into the same problem (using Gutsy) and I know what the
problem is. A user can change the mount point in the context-menu of a
mounted disk by entering a different mount point, see screenshot. The
problem is that the user is led into a trap as it seems one has to enter
a full mount

I did not do anythign particular, just wanted to open another file as a
new layer. The file dialog opened, no directories/files were shown and
the mouse was busy for a few seconds. Then Gimp crashed and closed all
