I can confirm that this bug affect version > 6.12.99 of xserver-xorg-video-ati.
With the 6.12.99 the system works well but, for example, it is really slow when

This morning I started to work without any usb device plugged after a few
minutes... system starts to lag!!!
I can't say when it happens... I always use gnome-terminal and I can see lag in
it... about 1/2 seconds at every key press.
This has happened since last kernel update..

I tried to compile several kernels from kernel.org with debian methods.
After that I tried to let them run under Ubuntu. All of 2.6.32 have this
problem. Yesterday I installed Debian 5.0 and 2.6.32 on this OS. Butt as

I have a similar issue on Ubuntu 20.04 with 1.30.0-0ubuntu4~20.04.1.
Sometimes I enter my password, the screen goes black and I have to log
in another time. Once lightdm didn't start at all.
If such issues occur I have these entries in the journal:

I trayed the 4.4.0-1ubuntu5~hardy1~ppa2. A little application i made to access
my ISeries with ODBC driver, won't work with queries. This application worked
in original QT4.2 myself compiled, but not whit this driver.
The DB is correctly opened, query.exec() is activated, but query.next() return

Now i have simoultaneus output and nothing interruption of sound.

I test it in several machines with the same network configuration.
I have a machine with ubuntu, kernel 2.6.15 and there are no problems in this
machine. I can access the site in seconds.
I disabled ipv6, but the problem persists.
What can I do ?

I have the same problem (same dump), but it seems to be related to the
insertion of the ID3 tags.
I managed to extract and encode the full cd by disabling the ID3 tags.

documentation to put a final answer to what VLC is and what it should
actually do with JPEG files?
