Public bug reported: Binary package hint: casper
I'm unable to boot the live CD of Ubuntu 10.10 (i386) on a netbook Sony Vaio P model VPCP11Z9E with the SONY external USB (2.0) CD/DVD reader/burner. I've tried with a USB boot stick created with the Ubuntu Startup Disk Creator but I get the same error. I've tried the kernel options all_generic_ide floppy=off irqpoll without results. On the netbook I can install the CD of Ubuntu 10.04 without problems. Can I save the dmesg output in the BusyBox console? Thanks. ** Affects: casper (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Unable to find a medium containing a live file sytem (usb optical drive) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/671888 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
