firefox-2 is running, trying to start firefox-3.0 either from menus or
commandline will start another window of firefox-2 instead. Same happens
the other way around with firef
pstree on my system shows about 60 console-kit-daemon threads on my up-
to-date Hardy as well. All except couple of the last ones have pids in
perfect sequence. Does console-kit-daemon start a fixed number of them
when starting up, whether so many are needed or not?

sure, unsure about the later versions), but at least in 2.6.20-15 visor
module no longer loads when a device that needs it is plugged in.

I think this is caused by the kernel and not by gnome-pilot. At the
earlier kernel on feisty and the same kpilot I have now I could get
synching to happen fine, and lsmod would show the visor module. Now the
device gets detected, but visor module does not get loaded, and so
nothing happens with kpi
I no longer use this version of kernel, so this problem is no longer
relevant to me.

This has now changed a bit for me: Now where I would expect there to be "Next"
button is "Version Upgrade" and when I press that, I get another window.
However that other window soon tells me there is no release announcement to be
found.

I get a error related the the visor module every time I try to synch my Palm
device. It is makind kpilot useless, and it might also affect use of other palm
syncing programs (haven't tried, yet)
