I have installed the samsung unified driver in Intrepid (8.10) for
SCX-4200, but I can not to scan (with Samsung program too). In 8.04 is
it OK, but I can not to use 8.04 (motherboard is not supported). Can you

Scanning is for my friend very important, otherwise we must to use
another "Canon-compatible" distro. But IMHO it is not right way, I like
Ubuntu ;).

So... this is working, but much much slower as VESA driver and very very
unstable (3D is not working correct and in 90 percent must I restart my
laptop ). Glxgears is OK, it is interesant... Openchrome was useful on
Feisty Fawn, but in Gutsy Gibbon is it not useful, sorry. I do not know
why... And

now I upgraded from my Ubuntu FF to GG (7.10) and OpenChrome is not
working too. But when I tried use VESA driver, my resolution is
supported (1280x800), so I can use it. But 3D acceleration does not work
for me. It is ugly :-(. FF was it in this issue much better.

In Feisty works wifi very good (after bcm43xx-fwcutter installation),
but in Gutsy is problem. Gutsy shows me a dialog with option to enable

I have same problem in Feisty and in Gutsy on V2055... But never mind.
It is good, because my laptop is really cool ;). When I work on Windows,
laptop is in 20 mins very hot - it is not good. So, better is, when is

So, thanks for your answer. Now I will use only VESA driver, because
OpenChrome do not work correctly for me. VESA is more stable (incl. 3D
which is very slow, but stable...)... I hope, it will be correct in

Wow, it works for me and it seems stable :-). Thanks a lot! In Hardy it
works very very unstable, but this is another bug.

and in xorg.conf I changed values via to vesa, but ONLY driver option,
not board ;). M
Sorry, but when I firstime wrote glxgears, values was cca 900 FPS, but
after restart see I this:
glxgears
2405 frames in 5.0 seconds = 480.483 FPS
2140 frames in 5.1 seconds = 419.125 FPS
2272 frames in 5.0 seconds = 453.666 FPS
but direct rendering is ON... I added one swcursor option, does it c
