Version 7.04, installed just a couple days ago. Suddenly, whenever I try
to install or download a program, codec pack or update, I get an error
message that dpkg failed to run, and telling me to manually run "dpkg
--configure -a". I try to run that in the application run conso
I don't know what you mean--boot to console? Without X?
I'll look for the segmentation fault report later today--but so far,
I've received the same message whether trying to download or trying to
update/upgrade: dpkg failed to run.
I can mention: This is on a desktop dual-booting Ubuntu and Windo
I figured out it wasn't so much a bug as my ignorance. Once I figured
out how to open a terminal and enter the command, the problem was
solved.
