having the same problem; also running hardy haron. I don't think I was
getting these errors initially so I'm not sure what's happened. I can
use the DVD-rom for other things and I've used it for burning ISO's

I just downloaded knot3 to test on my PowerMac G5, but the kernel oopses
right after I select "live-nosplash-powerpc64". After a long period of

I know about apt-get dist-upgrade, but I didn't know where to get daily
CD images. I downloaded the powerpc alternate install CD on Oct. 10 and

This doesn't happen only on encrypted DVD. It happens and in self-burned
media. I haven't tried installing libdvdcss3 but not having a DVD inside
the drive, seems not to cause a system freeze.

In Gutsy and before, tooltips had a bit of space between the border and
the text. In Hardy beta, most of the tooltips have no space between the
border and the text, which I feel is a regression. I say "most
