Can someone write this solution as a HOWTO? I have a Palm-TX that I
would like to sync w/Kontact using bluetooth but so far I only get the

Another option I learned while researching this, add a line to crontab
to "mount -a" at reboot. I am using 'Scheduled Task' app to do this now
and at least I now get my NAS drive to mount whenever I boot up. Still
doesn't want to mount when logging off/on though. JohnL
I concur but it beats having to run 'mount -a' from a terminal after
each sys boot. I really find it hard to believe this problem has
persisted for so long. Apparently the BUG approach has not been
successful. I wonder if a fix is included in the 100 paper cut
initiative?

This is an administration tool - you should be able to see everything.
Sure, you may be able to damage the system, but also, if the system has
damaged itself (through some broken installation, virus etc) you need
complete control to be able to fix it.

It's amazing how this problem has been so persistant with Ubuntu (CPU
jumping to 90-100%), I wish I could help resolve it but I'm not a coder.
However, I can share my work around; I uninstalled 'gnome-system-

system's performance.
My last entry (#79) I suggested fix turned out to be short lived.
Changing the frequency also gave false hope of a fix. I spend 30 hours
since trying to better understand this issue. I've installed Ubuntu
