Dansguardian. The PC with Ubuntu is behind my firewall with a
transparent Dansguardian proxy. Even configuring it to manually use the
Dansguardian proxy breaks it. Configuring synaptic/apt to use squid

Font Viewer will not recognize kerns. OpenOffice, however, will
recognize kerns when the "old style kerning" option is used.

No, I never formated or repartitioned it. I will tell you one thing

It seems that the problem was caused by corrupt areas on my hard drive
and is therefore not an avahi defect.

Environment used for testing: Sony TZ laptop with Windows XP installed.
Goal: Create a dual (Ubuntu/Win XP) boot.
Summary: Hardy and Intrepid installations freeze at the partitioning
stage when trying to set up partitioning ma
OK - with all options unchecked, the file opens. Should I re-enable the
checks one at a time to see which is the bad one?

Go to Save As, in the File menu. In the dialog
OK - that's entirely possible. I will run the check when I get home
tonight and test the forecast. I'll let you know what happens.
So far I'm impressed with the changes from .8 to .9 - seems like a
worthy upgrade.

In the top level directory node in emacs (C-h i), org-mode is listed
twice. Once for the version that is included with emacs22, and once for
the one installed with the org-mode package. This alone might be
