Confirmed on my Acer Aspire 5650, which also has an HDA Intel soundcard.
Note that the soundcard is working properly (although KMix chooses the
speaker as default channel, but that's not such a big problem), and the
Fn+up/down keys trigger the volume change OSD, it just seems to use the
wrong audio

Hello,
I've got the same problem on a Acer Aspire 9412 with nvidia 7300Go (+
nvidia-glx-new) but it's not systematic on resume, like Marcus said before.
Is it the same bug as #117966 ?

Hello,
I have a problem since Ubuntu Edgy and usage of UUID. grub does not

It seems I solved the problem. I merged two partitions, properly
installed Feisty Fawn and now ... I don't have my problem anymore. But I
guess there is a rare problem of UUID attribution but I could not tell
which one. Cheers, Debian / Ubuntu rocks.

Well I did some more testing. I tried with bundled compiz with/without compiz
themes and also with Beryl (Emerald themes). Resume from suspend provides a
black screen. It seems background working.
Hibernate did not work too : desktop unloaded and then again, black screen
without any power down.
There is a fix here
(https://help.ubuntu.com/community/NvidiaLaptopBinaryDriverSuspend) but
it did not work for me. I have the same bug too with a GeForce Go 7300.

I did reproduce it. I ended my conversation with someone (MSN), I
changed my status in "Hidden" with the bottom status bar (so it acted
for ICQ & MSN) and then I hit Ctrl+Q 1 second after without closing my

It freezed a bit, closed and then bug report.

Yep, once again (sorry I don't go often speaking to people). After I
closed my last chat window (MSN), I went in global hidden status then

I had the same problem with multiples mailboxes in IMAP (with folders
and subfolders, many of them are > 500 messages, > 3000 messages (with
filters)).
I had it on startup, without having the time to read one message.

I think yes because it happened some times, every time while closing the
application. I'll add another complete report next time I encounter the
problem.

I believe the same crash happened. All my mailboxes are IMAP and I guess
the problem comes from the junk mail checker : during startup, I have 3
IMAP + 1 IMAPS mailboxes automatically checked. I configured them so as
their junk mail are thrown into the junk folder of the global account.
