The firebug devs have just yesterday 4/20 committed a patch to the 1.2
svn branch that seems to fix this. So, I've put together a new version
of the firebug package based on the 1.2 version that's currently
available in svn. I've also built the package and made it available in
my PPA - version is

I just updated Kubuntu from Edgy to Feisty. There were various problems
along the line of the upgrade, from my nvidia drivers getting screwed up
to various packages not being installed correctly. I was able to fix
the nvidia issues, but I'm worried about the packages. When
I'm seeing something similar with dhclient. This is nothing new to
Feisty, but it's made more of a p.i.t.a. by Feisty.
Anyway, here's my story... I have a local gateway/router that runs its
own nameserver (for my local network) and also is a namecache. that
machine is 192.168.1.1 on my local ne

only on the left monitor and I'm constantly getting stuck on the edge
between my two monitors. IMHO, the settings should all be automatically

Also, I should mention that someone in #ubuntu mentioned that it might
be related to the kernel. So, in an attempt to try a different kernel I
removed the 3.8.0-19 kernel and reverted to 3.8.0-17. I can go back
again, but I don't know if I'd need to re-run apport-collect again...

I installed Raring about a week ago on my main desktop - just before it
went live and last night was the first time I've rebooted since I
installed. Not sure what exactly the issue is that is causing the
lockup/performance issue but the symptoms are basically the following...
I don't often reboot (maybe once a week or less) so it's possible that
this was caused by something that came out a while ago. I saw there was
an upstream fix referenced in the other bug that was supposedly released

So, I just did a fresh reinstall. When the system came up from the
install it was working excellently - snappy responses from nearly
everything. I proceeded to run a full update including all the repos in
the system settings dialogs (including partners & proposed) and then
rebooted to the new sof

Noticed this a few days ago. I've tried a few different combinations of
settings and couldn't get it to stay on. One thing I noticed was that
when I set the screensaver to "Never" the screen dimming takes affect
about 1-2 seconds after you stop doing anything. I would not be so
annoyed by this,
I stumbled upon this issue when attempting to work around the suspend
bug (system always suspends even when told not to). So, +1 from me.
Also, noticed that when the setting in question is set to "Never" it
also makes text input nearly impossible due to the screen continually
going dark.
