I think I have this problem too. The best I could get it was to have the right
resolution. The refresh rate and all other options remain unavailable. In fact
the refresh rate is reported as being 0 hz (Impossible). The graphics work
alright and look good except for huge glitches (See attachment)

I have the same problem in Jaunty with an integrated RT2500 chip. I hibernate
and then wake up and the applet says "wireless disabled." Have to do a restart
because I don't know how to reset the module.

No workarounds work. With alpha6 it worked with both ath5k and madwifi
(and fail after a while with both drivers) and now it just never works
at all, not with ath5k, not with ath_pci that ships by default and not
with the lastest snapshot of madwifi. Serious regression here.

When I install Ubuntu I am autoconfigured the wrong resolution for my 1024x768
screen (1600x1200). In System-Preferences-Display I can change the resolution
to 1024x768 but the refresh rate is stuck at 0hz (Impossible) and the monitor

The way I understand it the login window is controlled by the GDM
package. That is why I selected it. It has been now moved under the Xorg
package. Is this correct?

reboot... The keyboard setting from the Language Icon in the top right
is set to 'English UK' - there is also an 'English US' option - and
simply re-selecting English UK fixes it

When you try to configure VPN from NetworkManager applet, after
installing de openconnect dependencies, there is no way to select
Protocol gp. It is necesary to config as Cisco, and then, in the
configuration file ".connection" change protocol line to "protocol=gp"

Yes, it is a wubi installation in the bigger disk (/dev/sdb).
In the other disk there is an older version of ubuntu (two or three yeasrs old)

Had this same issue running a qemu with kqemu:
# sudo qemu -hda /dev/sda -m 800
On the grub menu, I coudn't use arrow keys and got the same message. Off
course, using a keyboard layout abnt2. After that I typed:
# setxkbmap -layout us -model us
and restarted qemu command. Worked fine!

I am pretty sure this is a compatibility problem with NX and the various
Ubuntu versions. It is not emacs that is using the rgb.txt file, it is
the nxserver I think.. And nxserver assumes that this file exists in
various hardcoded locations on the system..? See

What you describe here is a common problem with 32 bit systems equipped with 4
GB of RAM (or more).
When running in 32 bit mode, the processor only have access to 4 GB of physical
memory. The reason why you can only use 3 GB of them is that the last GB of
memory is used by PCI devi
