With 8.10 RC I could scroll on my Latitude E6500, gnome-mouse-properties shows
a tab for the touchpad.
After an update one/two days ago this tab was gone and I can't use scrolling

BUT, when I change Output from Speaker to HDMI or otherwise, sound controls

Seems to be fixed in Karmic Alpha3 ( shells are now smoothy ;) ).
Doesn't work in Ubuntu <= 9.04, same problems exists on other distributions
e.g. Gentoo.

Hardy with wvdial works, but there are many other problems (soundcontrol has no
affect, automount usbstick doesn't work, ...)
9.10a3 works also really good, connect card -> wizard -> few clicks and ready
for connection :)
Karmic Koala seems do be the best
I also have this problem on karmic amd64.

I don't get any error messages, ubuntu boots up while fsck scanning (or not
scanning, there aren't many hdd accesses) the disk.
Manual fsck is possible, but doesn't show any infos when running, even in
verbose-mode.
Maybe it's an upstart bug, running fsck parallel to the rest of the
bootup isn't
I removed the indicator foo at the first day because it had no functionality.

similar problem since a few days, after poweroff with powerbutton (not
accessing hdd anymore) I have to run a manual fsck and reboot (thanks to

I tried to record sound from line-in, but after 11 minutes audacity crashes
with segfault.
Second try same result, 11 minutes -> crash
I used pulse for playback and recording, also I set sound activated recording
in the preferences.

For the moment ubuntu 10.10 is just useless for me :(

there is now a bigger bug, often when activate/deactivate vga-fullhd-monitor
