Crash: F
Same issue. It happens when there is inactivity for some time. White square
instead of mouse. If I try to execute some cli command in an already existing
terminal: "Command not found". I have to switch off using power button. Same
messages: "Failed to Rotate message" "read-only filesystem" and
Some updates. It fails even with no session initiated. Just power on
system, and wait at the login session,being inactive.

No C-State option in my HP Laptop BIOS.
But instead, I added
nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=0 pcie_aspm=off pcie_port_pm=off
to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT at "/etc/default/grub".
Then "update-grub2" and restart.
No more crashes since this change.
