Although Sarah Hobbs changed the affected module from linux-restricted-
modules-2.6.15 to linux-restricted-modules-2.6.12, I think that was not
correct since 2.6.12 is related to Breezy while my bug report is related

This is using hardy current.
An update today 2008-03-11 or yesterday broke my system.
Gnome stalls during bootup.
GDM looks fine and works correctly.
As soon as I enter my username and password and press enter the screen changes
to the ubuntu background color without a wallp
By some strange twists of events all things gnome was uninstalled from the
package manager (!).
Reinstalling everything returns the system state.

I went ahead and compiled sudo 1.6.9p14 from source, and created a deb
using checkinstall. Then, I simply installed it, updating the current
sudo version from the repository. Then, I changed the Defaults in my
sudoers file by typing `sudo visudo`:
Defaults !lecture,tty_tickets,!fqdn,passprompt_
I've got the same issue but maybe more general. All settings done in
'System Settings KDE4 -> Keyboard & Mouse' are ignored even speed-
settings for the mouse.
Is there any possibility to check that?

As it is for me it seems '~/.kde4/share/config/kcminputrc' won't be used.
It doesn't matter which settings are changed there is no effect in the
kde4-seesion.

It seems to me that this nothing to do with the land line, nor me computer
program, so what can be the solution for my problem: he hangs up, no sound ,
after 1 minute?? Please gave an answer , ortherwise I quit with system, its
rubbish!.

Turns out the 01_proc_sys_batteries.patch causes this regression.
If I revert this patch. Two batteries show up on gnome-power-manager and proper
battery behaviour is restored.
