Also confirmed on Thinkpad T41, running AR5005GS. 8.04 Hardy upgrade from Gutsy
using the alternate CD.
Mine shows up as "dev.wifi0.softled=0", run "sudo sysctl -w
dev.wifi0.softled=1", the LED starts flashing.
Editing /etc/sysctl.conf and adding dev.wifi0.softled=1, fixes the LED not
working o
Actually on subsequent reboots, wireless fails outright. It sees the
network sometimes and then other times not. Cannot connect in either
case.
Commenting out dev.wifi0.softled=1 from sysctl.conf fixes the connection
problem. Using WICD 1.4.2.

Problem stil present in vanilla Hardy (workstation)!
Did a fresh install from the LiveCD. Added the gnome-cpufreq-applet to the
panel. Applet functionality ok, EXCEPT frequency and governor selection is
unavailable. Frequency and governor selection is not shown on left mouse click

to 'bind' (sorry for the pun) to the loopback interface. After bootup,
I could fix this by restarting the bind9 service. That's annoying, so I
changed the boot priority to 91
On my installation (Hardy Final, up to date as of date of this comment
(May 4th, 2008), this bug is either not fixed or has regressed and the
trash applet fails exactly as stated above for me, including the fix of
adding a new trash applet and removing the old one fixing the problem.

Yes, I agree on the first issue, the buttons are placed the same on a
Swedish layout and they're switched for me too. However, normal
(Windows) behaviour on a Swedish keyboard is to display a "§" sign on a
normal key press and "½" when using shift, I'm not sure how it's usually
handled in Linux tho
Dave, I'm also seeing this issue. It's kind of hard to reproduce
reliably and a restarting firefox temporarily resolves the issue for me.

This was reproducabel every time I tried. I then changed my theme
controls from "Grey" back to "glossy" - what I had before the problem
started. No more crashes. I will see if other apps have issues with this

I'm curious to know if for those people who can suspend and resume, is
DRI enabled? I can only suspend if I disable the fglrx drivers using the
restricted manager and then reinstall xorg-driver-fglrx. This allows me
to run fglrx without the kernel module thus preventing DRI from working.

My Samsung ML-2010 gets constantly redetected using the 2.6.22-8 generic
kernel. Booting into the 2.6.20-15-generic resolves the issue.

I also have this problem on a Thinkpad T60. Symptom is a blinking caps-
lock light. System remains usable on CPU 0. After the oops, doing as
Brian Rogers suggests above brings back CPU 1 without problem.
