Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.22-8-generic
This is a regression from feisty. My Samsung ML-2010 gets constantly redetected using the 2.6.22-8 generic kernel. Booting into the 2.6.20-15-generic resolves the issue. Verified on two computers. dmesg is filled with these entries: [ 830.466474] usb 6-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2 [ 830.640531] usb 6-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [ 830.702576] /build/buildd/linux-source-2.6.22-2.6.22/drivers/usb/class/usblp.c: usblp0: USB Bidirectional printer dev 2 if 0 alt 0 proto 2 vid 0x04E8 pid 0x326C [ 830.702591] usbcore: registered new interface driver usblp [ 830.702595] /build/buildd/linux-source-2.6.22-2.6.22/drivers/usb/class/usblp.c: v0.13: USB Printer Device Class driver [ 855.778786] usb 6-2: USB disconnect, address 2 [ 855.779976] /build/buildd/linux-source-2.6.22-2.6.22/drivers/usb/class/usblp.c: usblp0: removed [ 855.888736] usb 6-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 3 [ 856.062806] usb 6-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [ 856.069744] /build/buildd/linux-source-2.6.22-2.6.22/drivers/usb/class/usblp.c: usblp0: USB Bidirectional printer dev 3 if 0 alt 0 proto 2 vid 0x04E8 pid 0x326C ** Affects: linux-source-2.6.22 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Regression]Samsung ML-2010 Printer gets constantly re-detected https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/128058 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
