Same problem here.
/dev appears instead of "filesystem" even in the 'find' application of
gnome.
I also noticed that /dev appears only when system successfully shows
other media (in my case one partition and one external hard disk) in the
"browse file".
I got it also in nautilus.

Problem does not only concern the binary. I found that the exact command
which is called from the gnome-control-center is
gksu gksu --desktop /usr/share/applications/software-properties.desktop
/usr/bin/software-properties

Same problem here
using feisty fawn with last updates and gossip client.
problem encourred even simply starting telepathy-butterfly without any
client.
