Here is a synopsis of what happened (this is not my first time

1. Downloaded and burned Ubuntu LiveCD
2. Booted up off CD no problem
3. Clicked on Install, CD chruned for >50 mins with no panel appearing , so

that garbled the sound of the meeting in progress. I noticed that when
it happened that in the system audio mixer/volume control manager, there
