Hello, thanks for your help Pedro.
There's nothing special to do to trigger the bug, just try to record a
data cd. I think it's important to tell that I'm using an Intel MacMini

Uwe, have you tried using the ath5k driver? You can blacklist or remove
madwifi, de-blacklist ath5k and reboot.
Does anybody knows if ath5k is blacklisted by default in a new Karmic
installation or mine was blacklisted from Jaunty installation?

Hi uwe. I believe that recompiling your kernel every time it's updated
is a less than ideal solution. If the ath5k driver works for you that
process would be unnecessary.
Since you are using madwifi I'm sure your ath5k is blacklisted in
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-ath_pci.conf and in
/etc/modprobe.d
Thanks for testing uwe. So I believe there is really no problem with our
controller under Karmic. The problem is that we used madwifi in Jaunty
and had ath5k blacklisted to do so. When we updated to Karmic madwifi
were no longer there but ath5k were still blacklisted.
So I think this is a bug in t

I can confirm this in Karmic. This is not because I have other instances
