feature.
The main point is that with the current behavior of unity you do not
know "where you are", and you have to try changing workspace or do the
expo to understand it.

Actually the right click works fine, after reboot, and I'm able to run
synclient -m 100
BTW I'm still not able to get recognized more than one finger on my
touchpad... I've tried also with emulation as you suggested in #72 but
without any good result.

It seems that my problem was an old file in the /etc/modprobe.d/ dir different
from the one suggested in the other comments, but that anyway had some call to
psmouse.
For people like Richard that still have problem switching on SMHConfig, I
suggest to check all the file and comment-out/

Unfortunately the bug you are reporting to is different, since I don't have
PulseAudio installed.
It seems to me more kernel driver related, the driver itself fails to
initialize CS8427 chip (S/PDIF) through I2C bus, so it quits.

I am affected by this bug, I am using maverick amd64 (upgrade from lucid). I
don't think it's related to usb install.
However, I don't have any particular slowdowns in the boot sequence (maybe just
a few seconds more than lucid)

I see this is been fixed.
I am currently using maverick, but probably it has been fixed even before.

I reinstalled nvidia drivers too... because after the upgrade from lucid I
wanted to try nouveau drivers with 3d accel.
After that I reinstalled nvidia drivers.
Just a coincidence?

I've tested the latest upstream kernel ( v. 2.6.25.99) as suggested and
the problem of high memory usage still persists. I'd like to know the
memory usage of other users of the 64 bit Ubuntu LL.

Found a solution:
1) open gconf-editor
2) uncheck /apps/metacity/general/disable_workarounds
Now it worrk as expected.

Sorry but I have the same issue in a fresh installation on Ubuntu Server
10.04. On server boot openvpn autostart fail, but after the login when I
run "/etc/init.d/openvpn start" it start normally. In the
/var/log/syslog it says that it can't assign the ip address to the
