When I did a fresh install with the beta i386 the default resolution was
limited because it was set to mirrored. In the past this caused several
problem. I have noticed more recently that new intel drivers were included
in an update a few days ago. Since then I have experience absolutely no
problem
Even with a fresh 8.10 install the resolution is still incorrect and the
top gnome bar doesn't cover the whole screen. The login screen
resolution is also incorrect even after mirrored is switched off and

I second this bug, however you can change the resolution to 1280x 800 by
going to the monitor resolution and un checking mirror screens. But even
though the resolution changes to 1280 x 800 there is still an invisible
veridical wall on the right side preventing you from using that extra

So I did and fresh install of 8.10x64 via usb and then upgraded to
jaunty via #update-manager -d# and TA-DA, it works!!! Full 1280x800
output. From boot till shutdown. This is on a lenovo x200. Of course I
can't testify to the vga output, but the screen works flawlessly. Ever

I have this problem as well on my m1330, but what is more annoying is
when adjusting the brightness, when i push the fn-up keys once the
backlight goes to 50% and when pressed again, 100%. There is no gradual
change. I can't put the back light at 25% or 75% only 0, 50% or 100%.

Confirmed. Having sticky key, always "w" after playing css in wine as
well as perfect world also in wine, problem happens after playing for a
few seconds. Have the same problem using different keyboards. After
exiting wine problem persists until reboot.

Just though i'd add what i'm using now. Seeing as xml is eventually
going to replace this program anyway I took the script from the comments
on the page bellow and updated it a little. Every time I add photos to
my dropbox dir I just run the script. Ex. sudo /usr/local/bin/mkwlppr.sh

Had to hard reset just a few moments ago. The system was in standby for
a couple hours. Upon opening the lid the system seemed to restore and I
got a password dialogue box I was able to enter 2 characters of my
password and then my system froze. I have a ssd which is perhaps why the
system temporar
In lucid, currently, the system will resume from standby when the lid is
opened. It will then magically go back into standby. A final press on
the power button will bring it back out of standby for good.
