These kind of problems are HW dependent. Can you confirm the behavior
without notify-osd.

Damiano, you're right that the spec does not reflect that. Mpt probably
wants to keep it for 9.10, but for 9.04 we cannot make this work
properly.

There was an old Motif hint for suppressing the minimize button, but I doubt it
