1) Open exactly two windows and minimize them to unity launcher.
2) Restore any one window and close it.
3) Result: The other window on Unity launcher cannot be restored to desktop by

No nothing wrong...Its just different as the pointer have this
acceleration issue. I tried reducing the acceleration.
By default the xinput feedback for the mouse is:
accelNum is 2
accelDenom is 1
threshold is 4
I reduced acceleration, now the output is:

That concludes it. We all have the RS690 / SB600 thing.. so that must
be what's broken. Did you have to hpet=disable on 8.10?

The CD for Jaunty DOES work for me! I haven't had a CD of it till now. But the
USB version does not boot.
I am confused why.

kjournald starting. Commit interval 5 seconds
EXT3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data mode.
Then initialises the CD. So it could be something about recognising ISO
but not vfat filesystems at boot.

System: Kubuntu 8.10 KDE 4.2
Hardware: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ 2.5 GHz
RAM (2GB) is not of the same brand, but appears to work properly in
memtest.

There is no X.org configuration GUI for Kubuntu Intrepid!
In KDE3 there was a nice configurator in the Desktop section of the control
centre.
In KDE4 there is no such thing!

It sometimes says "241 Bytes / sec" or "Stalled" but my usual speed is about 80
KBytes/sec.
It sometimes does not resume downloading until the apt-get process is killed
and started again.
