In comparission with Ubuntu 8.10 package there should be at least 16
.rules files, one of the direct consequences is the lack of /dev/fb0

When it crashed today I could have a look at the crash report and I saw
something disturbing : the package being used is for Ubuntu
No luck...
Hexchat decided to crash again last night.
It really needs an up-to-date fresh package.

Made the test, and it's a big NOPE !
Starting manually an agetty with the 57600 option does no good, still
stuck with 9600bps.
So it's on for the agetty bug.

I found a way.
Well, I spend quite some time toying with the options but I had yet to do
that...
sudo /sbin/agetty --keep-baud 57600 ttyUSB0 vt220
gives no luck, the line always goes back to 9600bps, but using the
following
sudo /sbin/agetty 57600 ttyUSB0 vt220
gives the expected re
hmmm, it doesn't really answer the question, nor resolve the problem
does it ?
When using a USB-to-serial adapter this option is a nuisance, this
should be addressed.

the moment I start my VM the system become unresponsible. A bit
different than with 3.11.0-13 tough, the mouse still moves around, but
you can't do anything, the whole desktop is in a frozen state.

with v3.11.5 triggers the crash

To manage notifications about this
kernel 3.11.4-031104-generic_3.11.4-031104.201311151145 crashes too, a
bit differently tough.
first time I try to start the VM the system didn't crash but the VM
doesn't start, then I had to kill the Virtual Machine Manager since it
became unresponsive.
Then I try to restart the VM again and then
kernel 3.11.4-031104-generic_3.11.4-031104.201311181320 is fine, no
crash, in fact I'm using it right now
