I had given my password to sudo only the first time; after executing
(succesfully) the script once, it did not matter how many sudo -K/-k I did: if

Moving metacity.desktop sounds to me little dangerous.. I tried to look into
its content to see if there was something about "saving current setup", but I
didn't notice anything..

version.

Whoa, that's quite the strangest behaviour I have ever seen..
Can you post the output of "ls -l /usr/share/gnome-games/aisleriot/games/" and
"head /usr/share/gnome-games/aisleriot/games/klondike.scm"?
Also, can you try (if you never had) "apt-get purge gnome-games" and
"apt-get install gnome-game
