if the pae flag is not in /proc/cpuinfo (the same check as used by the

There are some hints in the older related bug #588530 ("Automounting not
prevented with GParted in Ubuntu 10.04"). It appears that this could be
a bug in gparted not locking the drive to prevent automounting, or the
automounter not respecting the gparted lock.

@wgroiss Your problem is not related, since the Broadcom proprietory
driver does not require or use external firmware. This firmware is only
used by the openb43 driver.

Stephane, thank you for testing. Windows appears as "Windows Boot
Manager" because that is the text returned by os-prober, presumably
because it literally looks for the Windows boot loader on a partition. I
suggest filing a bug with that project if you think it should be
changed.

calculate_operating_systems returns a list of operating systems without
location (drive or partition), then calculate_autopartitioning_options
uses that list to decide how to proceed *as if all of the detected
