I just download the 20131016.1 daily live cdimage, and record it into
DVD, then boot up from CDRom.
When secure boot is disabled, and UEFI first, it's just hang after the
"error: variable 'root' isn't set."

Talked with Aaron Ma last week, he said that we need a reasonable cause
to add a new firmware, such as without the firmware the wifi couldn't
work, if the applications couldn't work, it's very hard to let the

But xserver-xorg-input-wacom didn't have, when I tried to upgrade
xserver-xorg-input-wacom-hwe, found it will remove the ubuntu-desktop

After enabling the "automatic time zone" in the Date & Time settings, the value
is changed from false to true. It's always true until you open the 'Date &
Time' page of settings again.
So this issue seems to be related to gnome-control-center.
$ gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.datetime automatic
This issue is fixed in upstream of gnome-control-center
